What Is
Yixing teapots are classic traditional Chinese teaware, originating in Yixing City, China. Locally, they’re better known as Zisha teapots – Zisha combines “Zi” (purple) and “Sha” (clay), literally meaning “purple clay”. Today, "Zisha" refers to all clays native to Yixing, including Zini, Hongni, Lvni and Duanni clays.
