1. Understand Yixing Zisha Teapots
If you are a beginner, we recommend purchasing a classic design Zisha teapot first. Use it for some time to become familiar with the teapot shape, material, and usage. Once you have a better understanding of the teapot, you can consider customizing one.
2. Assess Your Knowledge Level
If you have already used Zisha teapots and have some knowledge of teapot shapes, Zisha clay materials, carving and painting techniques, as well as semi-handmade and fully-handmade craftsmanship, then you can proceed with customization.
3. Customization Timeline
- Semi-handmade teapots: 30 days
- Fully handmade teapots: 60-90 days
- patterned:30-45 days
4. Provide Customization Information
To start the customization process, please email us with the following details:
- Teapot type: You can find the names of most teapot types on our website.
- Zisha Clay material: Please choose from the Zisha clays listed on our website.
- Craft process: Semi-handmade or fully-handmade.
- Approximate Capacity: Usually between 100-400ml. We will do our best to meet your requirements, but the shrinkage characteristics of different clays may affect the final size.
- Carving and painting requests: Please provide any text, patterns, or designs you would like, or refer to the patterns and designs available on our website.
Special Notice Regarding Zisha Clay:
In addition to the names of Zisha clay listed on our website, any other clay names high probability are Synthetic chemical clay（eg:Dahongpao,Tianqing). Please be cautious and avoid affecting your health.
Do not request custom teapots based on other Zisha clay names you may come across, unless you are looking for a chemically-made teapot for collection purposes.
5. Receive Quotation and Timeline
After receiving your customization request, we will provide a detailed quotation and an estimated delivery time.
6. Confirm the Order and Pay the Deposit
Once the details are confirmed, and you agree to proceed, we will provide a payment link for the deposit. A 50% deposit is required to begin the crafting of your custom teapot.
7. Confirm the Final Product
Before shipping, we will send you a video and photos of the completed teapot for your approval. If you are satisfied, we will ask you to pay the remaining 50% balance.
8. Pay the Balance and Ship the Teapot
After confirming the final product, you will need to pay the remaining balance. Once the payment is made, the customized teapot will be shipped to you. Please note that once the custom product is confirmed and shipped, returns or exchanges are not possible, so please carefully consider your needs before placing an order.
